temp problems

hollywood_balls Feb 11, 2011 04:00 PM

I have 2 identical racks hooked up to a Helix1000. rack is 5 levels holding 28 quart tubs. probe is secured on the heat tape in the middle level of one of the racks.

Racks are next to eachother and not on top of one another. the problem is that the right rack has lower temps than the left one. though the temps in the left rack vary in temps. bottom level is at 87-88hot spot and the middle and top levels reach up to 95-96 hot spot. while the right rack holds pretty much a constent temp at about 89-93hot spot throughout the rack. both racks are hooked up to the same helix1000.

need some feedback. thanks.

Probably not the thermostat, it only controls the temp. at the probe. Can you add insulation to the rack? especially the cooler levels? Styro. or that aluminum/bubble wrap stuff, should help some.
