Litter # 2/ 2011 Jungles

mack1time Feb 13, 2011 05:08 AM

My gravid female Jocasta decided to give birth today, day 119 after Ovulation and 102 after the POS. I knew this was going to be a smaller litter as she was a first time Mother and was not showing as much as she should have been. Today sometime after 9PM she decided to give birth in her water dish. This was new to me this season perhaps due to higher than normal room temps as I had observed both gravid females soaking a few days prior to the birthings, and both had their waxy poos in the large water dishes I provided.

Luckily my brother discovered them before any began to drown in the water.
The female was a J.S. Jungle 66% poss het Kahl Albino and the father a Pure Kahl Albino. Unfortunately she did not prove out and I am left with 5 Beautiful, but still definite Jungles and 6 normals all 100% het Albino!!!!

Still the White boa evades me, but I'm glad to have 11 healthy plump, fully developed babies and a healthy and hungry mother.

No slugs but there was 2 stillborns, including a funky Key west looking Boa.
