Feeding tips

Max0331 Feb 13, 2011 09:48 PM

So I have a 2010 male bullsnake thats got a really bad attitude. Thats fine and dandy. Ive had pines and bulls for most of my life and Im stumped a little bit. I cant seem to get the snake to eat. Everytime I open the tub he gets pissy and stays pissy for hours. So Usually I just leave him be with his mouse. But he doesnt eat them. I know its naturally hibbernation or brumation time. But he is the only one of all my 2010 bulls that will not eat. I am not yet worried as he is still very healthy looking. But was wondering if anyone out there has any tips for this kind of issue. Anytime my others are hesitant I do the nasty trick of exposing brains and its never failed. except with the grump ass male. Thanks in advance for any advice.

LMAO Go figure a pissy bull snake. Who would imagine?

I've never had any pit that was that difficult. I do have a young male pine that's been fussy the last several months but eats regularly just not as much as I would like. We've been having a warm high pressure system moving through and even this male pounded his food yesterday.

I have several including a red bull, black pine and my linis that will act pissy the whole time while in their feeding tubs. Tail rattling and sometimes hissing all while downing their food.

Glad to hear he ate for you.

I cant help but laugh my ass off when on of mine hisses or tries to hiss and be pissy with a rodent half way in its mouth, Ive even had a bull awhile back who tried to strike. Haha. They sure are entertaining!
