Ovulating Sunglow Shot

JasonRobeck Feb 15, 2011 01:17 PM

This girl was freshly shed and sitting pretty when I went into my snake room the other day. She was bred by my Boa Woman Caramel and my fingers are crossed.

This one is my salmon aby. She's been with couple nice salmons who've made a mess of her and her cage. Can you say cleaning time. She's so lumpy from ovulating it looks painful.

Now the waiting begins.

Very Nice. I assume she is a sharp ?

JasonRobeck Feb 15, 2011 01:47 PM

Thanks. She's a Kahl though. We'll see what happens.

dan80woma Feb 15, 2011 02:01 PM

Good to hear. We should see what happens with BW caramel X Kahl this year. Should be nice.

RuBeN14 Feb 15, 2011 02:10 PM

what happens? He's gonna get DH and TH Kahl X BWC. The breeding has been done, just not with a Sunglow i'm pretty sure. Maybe the Hypo gene will will toss something new into the mix! Best of luck with the litter Jason!

JasonRobeck Feb 15, 2011 02:18 PM

Thanks. I only expect double and triple hets, but certainly wouldn't complain if this pairing threw up something funky.

RuBeN14 Feb 15, 2011 02:33 PM

You never know. Add the Hypo gene into the mix and bam somethin funky just may pop up. Again, best of luck with her.

ceniceros Feb 15, 2011 02:18 PM

Sweet... But why a BW caramel? Hasnt that pairing been done before with nothing but Double hets?

That's two absolutely gorgeous sights, that's a beautiful Kahl Glow ! Congrats
on that major important step to some successful litters .

I do not believe the Kahl X BWC has been done yet !

Somebody will have to name the actual breeding (who did it and when) for me to believe it.

Good luck with the results !

Thanks. My fingers are crossed for just a healthy litter.

The BWC x Kahl breeding has been done a couple times. Here's a link to Big Mike's blog about it from last year.

I had the bwc male and sunglow female both ready to go for this season. I didn't want to repeat last years motley heavy breedings so went a totally different direction. Should be cool to see the outcome.

RuBeN14 Feb 15, 2011 04:15 PM

little first! J/K Larry..

BASICALLYBOAS Feb 15, 2011 04:19 PM

LOL! I was typing at the same time you were Jason! Good luck with the breeding.

Thanks Mike. I'm glad you parted with that guy, and I'll definitely be posting pics once she gives birth.

You can't always know everything Larry! It's been done and the DH's have been breed back to eachother. I'm not at the liberty to say what those results are but i'm sure if you investigate a little you may find something! Have Fun!

LarM Feb 15, 2011 05:32 PM

Ha ha ah ha I certainly can try to know everything that is done and has been made public in relationship
to Colombian type Boas and especially with Colombian OCA 1,2,3,& 4 Breeding's (tyrosinase Pos and Neg breeding's)

Often times when I'm reading Mike's Blog it's about 3:30 AM so sometimes it may not entirely sink I'm thinking now.

I specifically remember reading the statement made by Steph about their (BWC) more "coral" appearance.

I know I was tired because I didn't even save those Images ha ha ah ha

I always save images that I consider relevant and important at least important to me !

Thx for setting me straight Jason & Mike and back on the path to Boa enlightenment !

Yea,
I was talking about Steves breeding. Didn't realize you did it a couple of times also. I thought Steve had mentioned the BWC in his litter were really clean and nice. Did you have the same results? I figure you've had the most BWC out there so you'd have the most knowledge on that. I guess i'm asking if the BWC's you got in your litters from DH X DH stand out against the BWC's in litters from BWC X Het BWC or any BWC's from Paradigm litters?

ceniceros Feb 15, 2011 04:54 PM

Ohh.. I didnt know the DH x DH breeding was done.

Gotta start following Mikes Blogs. Lol...
