New Snake!

a153fish Feb 15, 2011 08:23 PM

Yeah I have another new snake, lol. This guy arrived today! This will be my primary Sunkissed Corn. I got him from Walter Smith and he's an 06 proven breeder. He was Walters main Sinkissed stud for several years, now I have some plans of my own for him.

Yeah, but as you know....waiting for good things to happen is at least half of what this hobby is all about I guess..LOL!

So in two years you will be half-way there..

Thank You, I really love your tri-color hogs too! I've always loved them, they have always been a bit pricey though. Maybe I'll be able to get some in the future.

Nice, Jorge!!!!! Walter is one of the best!!!! His stock is consistently the best!!! What's its temperment like???? The sunkissed I have had were more like Pits with an attitude!!! Until I had them I had never handled a Corn with attitude. Of course, now I have Abbott Okeetees so I can get tagged everyday if I want!!!!!

Funny you should ask that question Pat? The first one I had, which was sick from the get go and died, was the seed of Satan himself, lol! That thing was truly wicked. It prompted me to ask about it on the big Corn snake forum. Quite a few people had similar experiences and a few said theirs was like a puppy dog. This one is a sweetheart! The second one I got after the sickly demon died, is also a sweetheart. I decided not to use him as a breeder since I didn't have any background info on him, and I didn't want to risk having Stargazers pop up down the line. Walter said this one had sired many projects and he never had any Stargazers show up. Here is the second one, I still have him but I won't be using him until I can test him for the dreaded Stargazer gene.

Your welcome! I love all the hypos. Lavas, Strawberry, Hypo -A, Christmas, etc. When mixed with patterns, and colors they can make some beautiful results! Have you seen the striped sunkissed? Or the Bloodred sunkisssed, and Lava Bloodreds?
