Are water conditioners necessary for reptiles in general? For example a dechlorinator like Reptisafe? I have been using it for years now on all my cold blooded pets. I've never had a reptile get sick from using tap water but I don't know have you?

Personally I use a couple of gallon water jugs. I fill them up every night and leave the to off over night. The chlorine all evaporates pretty quick this way, them I use those to fill water bowls and the like.

Leave the top off. Sorry can't type.
For the last 30 years I`ve just used tap water, I haven`t noticed any problems at all with any of my monitors (or any of my other animals), but if you think it helps, use it, I`m pretty sure it won`t do any harm.
Thats what I'm thinking. When me and my sisters were kids we used tap water on our turtles it never hurt them. I'm thinking it can't hurt to use the conditioner but probably no necessary.
