Black Pines Breeding Today

tspuckler Feb 18, 2011 09:15 AM

This is definately the earliest I've ever seen a hook-up with my Black Pines. The brown one is a male, I held back one of his daughters, so next year I hopefully will be able to determine if the brown is some sort of recessive trait (hypomelanism).

I brought my stuff out in mid-February, though those snakes simply stay in their cage. I learned that I left their UTH on all winter (though they hardly ever use it), so maybe that had someting to do with them being ready to go so early. I haven't seen any action out of my Northerns yet in 2011.
