My snake room is a small second story bedroom. It is set at 83-86 during the day with a night drop of 78-80. The hotspot is 91 during the day and 88 at night. I am getting lots of lock ups at these temps too, by the way. My room NEVER gets cold, but when I am cleaning and handling my snakes their bodies feel cool to the touch. Is something wrong? I use a Herpstat II and an oil heater, and a temp gun. Everything always reads what it's supposed to, but their bodies are still cool to the touch. None of them are sick (knock on wood) no wheezing or odd behavior, however I do notice them hanging out on the cool side of the bins. I am not sure if anyone can help, but just wondering if any one else had this going on and if it is normal or ok for their bodies to be a bit cool.
Thanks.
