Heaven is for Real ... sweet,,,, ME LIKE ,,,,

KcTrader Feb 23, 2011 09:24 PM

Here's a couple of pics of my snake/bedroom...I totally enjoy having them in the bedroom, I don't get much sleep this time of year with tail slapping going on. It's also hard at egglaying time not to get up every 20 minutes to check on her. But I can lay in bed and read while spending some time watching them.

It makes it easy to keep cages clean as everyone should know the odor of a regurge isn't pretty.

I also have 3 more big racks(on the left),2 more medium racks(center), and 3 more hatchling racks(right) that are empty on the opposite wall. Awaiting to be filled.

I like the label idea ,too.

KcTrader Feb 23, 2011 10:37 PM

I only label the hatchlings, adults and sub adults I don't have to label I can tell just by looking at them. I also use colored post-it tabs on all the cages to let me know who didn't eat and for what reason,(shed, eggs, etc and mark the date on them). I use one color for the cages I have to check the next day either for eggs or if they ate. Also, each one has a feeding/breeding index card next to the cage. I had just switched everything over to the new cages when the pics were taken so they weren't in the rack yet. Here's a pic of what I use.

I use 6 different colors though, makes life so much easier.

Im not a breeder but this is my small snake room.

snaketaboo77 Feb 24, 2011 06:40 AM

I like the 3 cages to the right on the ground, did that cost you a pretty penny? lol

johnthebaptist Feb 24, 2011 10:40 AM

I buy vision cages when they pop up locally used (which is rare). I payed $200 for the 4'x2' for my male dumerils boa. The smaller ones usually go for $50 to $75. I love the look of visions and wish i had a wall full of them.
