Strange behaviour

monkeyface Feb 24, 2011 12:30 AM

i have a male (2.5 yrs) and hes acting a little strange. He hasnt eaten since early january but rests in an ambush position on top of his hide box as if hes hungry. When i go to feed him he seems interested for about 2 seconds and then refuses. After refusing he then cruises around at a stressed out pace till morning. Hes been like this for a few weeks.

Is this normal?

Thanks everyone.

Maybe ill take him downtown to the red reptile district and get him some!
Naw just kidding.

can he be calmed down by adjusting his environment? Or just leave him be?
Can i handle him during these periods?

Thanks again. This is a relief.

What kind of substrate do you have him on? Cedar and pine have posinous toxins in them and would make him want to avoid contact with them and possibly cause him to not eat also. If the substrate is ok then he just needs a woman. Chris
