Im doing a friend a favor (after taking her to the recent reptile show and 'corrupting' her to the wonderful world of reptiles) I do not know much about kings beyond very general info, and she rather enjoys the look of the gbk and is looking into purchasing one. this will be her first snake. What are your opinions on a gbk as a first snake? (pros and cons of one, etc)
It WILL be captive bred and eating prekilled from a reptuable breeder (I already threatened to kill her if she purchased from a petshop, lol - not literally of course!)
Also, any price ranges for a good juvenile snake?
The petshop (yeah, NOT happening anyway) was selling them for 80-100$ (canadian) and I have seen word of prices ranging from 165-200$ (canadian) on the net. - do they import/farm raise these guys from the wild at all? (ie like ball pythons) just curious for my own sake cus of the low petstore price.
