Paradox Albino Piebald

CrestedGecko.com Feb 25, 2011 02:00 PM

I had to share what is probably my biggest accomplishment ever in ball python breeding. I produced my double hets back in 2006. I have produced 5 clutches out of them from 2008-2011. I've produced plenty of normals, albinos and pieds, but the albino pied has eluded me- until now! This guy hatched last week. Yes, he's a boy! To top it off, he's a paradox! Check out the difference in eye color from his left eye to his right eye! He's definitely one of the coolest snakes I've ever produced and he was worth the wait! It just goes to show you that although double recessive projects are daunting and require a lot of time and some amount of luck, if you stick with them, they'll pay off big time!

I hope you enjoy the photos.

Thanks,

Garrick DeMeyer

You might be a ball python fanatic if you subconsciously convert the price of virtually everything in to units of piebald ball pythons

What a beautiful reward for such an ambitious project!

Congrats Garrick! Nicely done! So what's up with the Albino Pied Paradox thing? I produced two Albino Paradox in 2010 - one was an Albino Pied, the other an Albino het Pied... starting to look like more than a coincidence????

Enjoy your success,
Dan
