Seems like over the past few months many of my boas, especially the CA ones, have gotten really ornery. I have not paired any of them. Many of the males are definitely of breeding age and size, but I'm giving all of my females another year of good growth. When I go to take any of them out for cleaning, etc, I get hissing and strike posture. They are in the 2.5-4 year old range, the younger ones being male.
Is it typical for them to get like this during this time of year, or is this just a coincidence and I need to handle them more?
Thanks in advance.
