I call her Rosy...

Ophidia_Junkie Mar 02, 2011 06:41 AM

Can you see why? She'll be 3 this yr, fed conservatively for longevity/health reasons. Might have to pair her with my Poss Jungle, DH Lipstick Sunglow when the time comes.

Any tips on capturing pinks in a photo? No matter what color I use as a background, I just can't get them to show like I see in person. Her pinks have a distinct neon glow that I just can't capture, but also can't quit admiring.

Interesting. Anyone else notice this? I see them just fine. Let me try putting them to photobucket and see what happens then.

I did switch to a new server recently, wonder if there's a bug I need to find and fix. ???

Hmmm...Since Larry can't see them, I'll assume nobody else can either. Lets try a different host and see if they pop up now.

Thanks for looking!

Holy Cow that is spectacular , did you produce her ?

She looks like one of Matt Crabe Red Line Albino Boas !

Matt does have some gorgeous albinos, don't he. Rosy was born right here, and unrelated to any of Matt's stuff.

Out of all the Sunglows in that litter, she turned out the oddest of them all. Even from birth she just looked strange and stood out from the littermates. Her entire body was creamcicle orange until her first shed, then it went solid pink...

Strangest thing I ever seen. Glad I kept her though. We'll see what happens in a couple years when I pair her with a Poss Jungle, DH Lipstick Sunglow.

Thanks for looking bud!

See that's the way to do it, that is selective breeding. Keep that extremely nice colorful Boa
and find some other great Boa . . . the best you can afford.

Then put those two great Boas together and see if they compliment each other and produce outrageous gorgeous babies !!

Poss Jungle, DH Lipstick Sunglow I like this idea I hope the babies are extreme !!

OOops I missed the bottom or last part of your post.

I can't take a decent picture of a Boa inside to save my life !

So that would be my best suggestion . . . get some good light either
early in the morning or late in the afternoon.

These times of day offer a brief window to capture the best color
you can capture on your Boa.

Just like you talk about the sunrise with Aurora when you
first got that beautiful girl !

I believe this includes Albino boas as well !

You kind of have to test it out and get some images at these
times of day to see what exact time works best
in your part of the country.

Of course you must use some Image editing tools to help adjust the proper colors.

Not to add or subtract but to reach that optimum level
of light, contrast and color.

Adjust for color? HAH! That's cheating.

Although I do have Photoshop CS2. Pretty expensive stuff seeing as all I ever do with it is crop my pictures and insert my watermarks. HA HA HA

If it's accurate it's definitely not cheating. The idea is to
depict the Boa as it truly appears !
