cochran Mar 02, 2011 06:16 PM

Just thought I'd share a couple of pics of my "normal" female everglades rat that I got from Daniel Parker(Sunshine Serpents)a while ago!She is het. for nothing and is calming down nicely with age! Jeff

That's a really nice one Jeff!

Yeah, Daniel definitely has alot of different types of snakes from many different locales that he goes to.

That's a beautiful glades. It looks more like a hypo, especially with the faded stripes. Not that i know much about them LOL. Just saying...

They're definitely on my wish list. How's the temperament and personality on yours? I heard some people say that they make good display snakes because they don't mind perching out in the open.

The pic may be a little misleading. It was taken in bright sunlight. My everglades(hypos included)started out pretty much with pissy attitudes but, they change overnight to be sweeties!I did not produce any of these myself,so I can't take credit. They are however my favorite N.A. ratsnake. The russian rats are my next personal favorites! (thanks to Tim S.)! Jeff

I recently saw some everglades ratsnake hatchlings in the show in Portland, OR. They were pretty drab, kinda splotched shades of brown.

Is that how they all start? I didn't get one, but would consider it in the future if I could expect it to turn out like yours. I guess I could ask what the parents looked like.
