I have 2 leucs in a 20 gallon tank. The 1 Luec Ive had about a year . the other about 8 months. The 8 month old I raised from a really tiny juvi. My question is that the year old is about adult size but he/she doesnt look as big as the other. Is there a way to fatten up a dart frog ? I feed with fruit flies and occasional crickets. This is driving me nuts , over the last 2 years Ive lost 2 darts due to feeding . They start getting smaller and eventually die , due to lack of nutrition I guess . Thanks for any help !

Do you dust your bugs before they you put them in. Using termites, rice flour beetles, and just sweeping your yards for bug will help.

You need to feed them more. I feed about 20-30 ff per frog each day. If you do feed them a lot and they still die, then it could be a disease problem. Are you using the same tank, moss, etc that you used for the frog that died before. You might need to disinfect the tank. If they are getting really skinny and you are feeding them alot then i suggest you get a stool sample and send it to vet.

Termites are getting hard to find since it is getting colder now, but waxworms work very well. Try to find a pet store that sell them when they havent really develop yet. That should be a good size for the leucs.

Sounds like they could be sick, but I'm no expert. I can say that my Leucs are very very fat.
