Need Help!!

Kylegep Mar 04, 2011 01:35 PM

I have a 1300g female who went off feed. It was about this time I started to notice multiple wet spots in her cage. They smell really really bad and sometimes have this clear like substance in them. Some are small and other areas are big. The big ones are usually found when she has been laying there for a while. Can anyone help me out here?

Kyle,

It's very difficult for any of us to diagnose what may be going on with your snake.

My suggestion would be place whatever fliud you can from your snake's deposit and bring the snake and the sample of the fliud to a vet in your area that specializes in reptiles. It could be a lot of different things including signs of internal parasites. Get as much of this fluid you spoke about into a small container.

If you have any other questions please feel free to call me at 408.981.6694

Besides breeding and selling snakes for about 25 years, I was also vet tech for 9 years.

Let us know how things turn out.

Good luck
