Can this only be done by probing or is there a visual way on these Sonorans?

Female. Shorter tail and the tail sort of indents just aft of the vent.
Male. Longer tail and a slight bulge just aft of vent.
This is another colubrid, lampropeltis, but very similar to pituophis.
A thing to do would be to find a reptile store or breeder in your area and have them sex your snakes.

Thanks I'll have a look at both and see if I can see the difference.
I did get taught to probe adult ball pythons but its been a few years and they were so much bigger then these guys.So Im a bit nervous to probe them..The only petstore near me is Petsmart and Im not letting anyone from there touch my snakes.
They were getting a bit hissy with me today.I had to put them into a bigger bin so had to pick them up.Quite loud too..

The are funny when they are babies...all that puffing and spitting and hissing; like holding a little hydraulic air hose! LOL!
