Surface Temps/Colombian Boa?

elidogs Mar 10, 2011 08:36 AM

What surface temperstures do you keep your colombian boas at? I have a temperature range of 78F to 110F. The highest temperture range in on a cork log. I have been told 110F is too hot and another told me it is fine. We are talking surface temperature using a temperature gun....not air temp.

Thanks!

As long as the snakes can move freely to warm and cool themselves as they desire, I think the range is fine. Also, I am assuming the air temp is adequate (around 80 or so).

Yeah the air is around 80F. I can get the high surface temp by simply placing a cork log under a 40 or 50 watt redlight night bulb. It does not take much.
