We don't get nearly as much picture follow up from monitor customers as I would like, but Jim Heck posted a pic on our Facebook page that is just awesome. There is a hatchling "in hand" pic that I took before sending it out 5 years ago, and a more current pic "in hands" of his 68 pound animal.

Beautiful monitor, I`m not sure if it`s just the angle of the pic, but it looks very "heavy" in the body to me?
My 7.5ft V. ornatus weighed around 47lbs, and they are a very similar build to salvator...

The result of great monitor care! I want one now! Better start saving up for rats and a room sized cage now hahaha. Also, that baby has got to be one of the best water monitors I have ever see.
I think the monitor has a good weight to him, and by the sheer length of the fella, you can tell he's using the food by growing so massive instead of storing it as fat. I'm sure he doesn't get as much room as he should for his size. But an 8 foot by 16 foot size cage is pretty big! Lol.

On FB he said it has a 20'x8'x6' cage...and he's building a bigger one O.o
That's one jaw dropping lizard. Too bad I'll never have that sort of space (there isn't a room in my house with a 20' wall).
