super cinnamon spider???

edenspets Mar 10, 2011 03:29 PM

I've been toying with trying to produce one of these next season. For the life of me i cannot find any info on one of these being produced or any pictures to speak of. If anyone knows wether it's been produced or not and could provide pictures it woud be great. Thanks.

I personally would be concerned about making a ball python that has duck-billing AND a spin and/or wobble. I request that you let us know the out come of ALL of the eggs. I would LOVE to see what a super-cinny-spider looks like! I think that would be the reason that no one else has made it yet. It's a risky project, but I wish you ALL the luck in the world, and HOPE that you don't need to freeze any of them.

Good luck man, and PLEASE give us full details.

I don't know, but maybe incubating at 87 degrees, might give them a little more time to fully develop so to avoid possible duck-billing.

Man, why did you post this???? I can't WAIT to see one now!

We should have 2 clutches from Cinnamon Spider to Cinnamon (and Black Pastel) this season. So hopefully we will see one soon!

Freezing is not an appropriate way to euthanize reptiles. Please don't be cruel to your animals.

You might be a ball python fanatic if you subconsciously convert the price of virtually everything in to units of piebald ball pythons

I think what he meant was if it hatched then died he would have to freeze it until a reptile vet could do a check on it for the cause of death. I'd love to see what the super cinny spider does look like though. It would be worth the potential risk to me. Chris

I have been told, and read that freezing is the most humane way. Is it not? And if not, why not?

For whoever is working on this project, I hope all goes well, but, since a super cinny is an all black snake, wouldn't that wipe out any spider pattern? That being said, a dark snake w/a slight spider pattern might be cool!

If no one has done the cross yet. I don't think you can say what the outcome will be. It is likely it may be a super cinny with a head wobble, but all black with some white sides/belly could look pretty awesome too. Best of luck to all attempting it.

actually its pretty easy to speculate on what certain things will look like. for example, almost anything mixed with a bel looks like a bel. and since the bel and hyper mel are pretty similar in phenotype sans the color, id wager it'll look like a super cinny. it'd be cool if it didn't, but id bet it does. as someone stated though, they have a shot at producing some, so i guess we might find out this year.
