results of a Paradox breeding

mike_panic Mar 10, 2011 03:54 PM

I bred my 08 Lipstick Paradox who I call Freak to his DH for Sunglow sister to see if I could make more Paradox. I didnt count them all up yet but there are a bunch of babies. I'm guessing thirty or so. There are a load of normals in there making me think that this wonderful Paradox may just be an albino. I thought for sure he would be a sunglow or a DH at the least. When I get all of the numbers in, I'll post them and we can kick it around. There were no Paradox though. Thanks for looking. Mike Panichi

Quite a big nice looking litter. I would guess he appears to look
like an Albino Boa underneath those Paradox markings.

So once again this breeding proves that Paradox is not a Dominant trait.

Two breeding's of Paradox to Paradox were done this year, I hope
there are conclusive results from both of those.

It might be completely random or maybe something else.

Congrats on the healthy litter Mike, that's the fun part

Ive done 3 different combos of paradox breedings and i didnt make not one paradox boa.

You have to just get lucky.

I'm betting that your male is not an Albino , but rather a het Albino , and those normal babies are 66%pos het Albino. Everyone has been calling them "paradox Albinos" , but I believe that they are actually paradox "het Albinos" - in most cases . I believe the actual "paradox Albinos" are those ones that are 99% Albino , with a couple random black scales

Its still too early to tell but I think he is an albino. There are still a bunch of sunglows and albinos in the mix. His paradox brother proved out to be a double het. I'll see what the numbers are in a few days and I'll have a better idea. Mike Panichi
