Is there anyone tangible that is currently breeding ARBs? Again, aside from the token 3 males that constantly ride the ks classifieds, does anyone have names of individuals that are breeders and not resellers? I understand Outback is working on the morph lines, but are there any other breeders out there. Any feedback would be deeply appreciated.

...I used to breed them. I currently have no female. I have had trouble keeping females alive after they produce their second litter. My guess is that is why there always seem to be those males for sale and no females available. They have been looking for females for that albino male for awhile. I think he has been in the country for at least a decade now without producing anything, that is unless they are keeping it secret. Alvarezi are great little snakes and make great pets but we apparently do not know all we need to know about breeding them. It seems like the litter I produced two years ago may have been one of the last ones produced in the US. They used to be imported in some numbers so there were plenty available. The fact that they produced small litters and were also being imported made it impossible to make money on them and so very few breeders tried working with them (except for dummy me). BTW, most of them that I have purchased over the years have been missexed. Many of them probe intermediate depths and so are difficult to sex. Several I bought as males were females that eventually produced babies for me.
