annulata pics.. albinos, pinstripes

mikefedzen Mar 16, 2011 12:15 AM

here's a nice little 09 pinstripe female. she likes to limit herself to 1 small pinkie per meal, something I'm not too fond of, lol, but as long as she's eating I'm not worried at all.

next up is a little '010 het albino female, which took her 2 small pinkies as soon as I offered them tonight.

last but not least is a nice sized '09 albino male, my new favorite in the collection lol.

Those are some super-nice looking pinstripes there Mike!. I have always liked those guys, and may look into some some day too. Yeah, if that female keeps eating nice chubby-sized stuff like that one in front of it, I wouldn't worry one bit either to be quite honest. Sporadic feeders that only eat once in a while are the one's that really burn me up..LOL!

Ahh!, I see you actually DID end up scoring one of those killer amel "Freer, TX." locale from ......"S. H."..LOL!

Congratulations Mike!,......that is one smokin, authentic annulata there bro!!!........love it!!

haha yeah Doug after talking to you about it I pretty much had my mind set on the project. I almost emailed you to let you know about this thread but figured you'd see it eventually anyway, lol. I hope your 2011 season is going good so far.

Yeah Mike, those are some VERY cool projects you have going. You just can't beat a sweet locality-specific morph like that, ....it's the best of both worlds!

Thanks, I haven't even began any introductions just yet, but will pretty soon. My stuff usually starts rolling a bit later here in around April and May, but I will still see how some react to each other just in case.

Nice. Try increasing the temp gradient. I've been finding this improves feeding for more reluctant feeders.

He along with 1.1 hets went to Chris. The female egg bound and died.

Wow, that's too bad she died.

Yes, that wide-banded hypo that Chris now has was incredible looking Tony!

Wish he would post more often like he used to and show us a few pics of that snake and some others he has going.

Nice. I've been kicking around getting some annulata for years - I just haven't "pulled the trigger yet." That's some very cool stuff you've got there.

mikefedzen Mar 17, 2011 08:55 PM

thanks Tim, I had a couple of them before, and those ones seemed more tame than any other milk snake adults I've had. They seem to be easier to work with than pueblans for sure, though I've never dealt with honduran milks.

here's a old pic of 04 annulata.

Very nice Mike! If I were to keep a large collection, those would definitely be up there with the tops on my list.

Thanks Joe, I've got probably 30 snakes but plan on cutting down to focus on the annulata projects for the next few years.
