How old is he and do you breed him ?
Yeah that just might be the largest blk rat I ever seen
If that's not a record it's near one
You might want to go to a zoo and get him measure and weight for the record .

A little background on baal
:baal is 7 years old and has never been bred, his diet consists of 3-6 adult rats every other week.He is totally placid and doesn't even so much as hiss.Baal is kept in a 6x2x2 on a soil substrate and for those that believe that without uv all reptiles will succumb to MBD,Baal has never been exposed to uv.A basking sight that sits at 90-95 with a gradient down to 78-86.Anything else, just ask
see yah

Very impressive snake!

I don't have my Peterson Field Guide (Conant & Collins 1998)
handy, but I want to say the published record in there for Black Rats is something like 102 or 103 inches - in which case this big feller is only an inch or two from the record! Can someone else out there confirm this? In any case, I doubt if there is a larger albino Black Rat anywhere!

...list the record at 101 inches, but I recall someone posting not too long ago and mentioning 107. 101 is what I usually hear, but I wondered if that record had been broken. I agree, get the snake officially measured, as it is on it's way. I also agree that it may well be the largest albino black rat recorded.
What a beautiful animal. My albino black rat is only a couple years old (and a little small for her age). Duffy

Peterson's Field Guide lists the record at 101 inches or 8 ft 5 inches. since it is so hard to get an accurate measurement, Baal could possibly beat it. Maybe the zoo would be interested in helping. I'm confident the Reptile Keeper would get a kick out of seeing that guy.
