Scarlet kingsnake

karabyers Mar 16, 2011 01:06 PM

I have a scarlet kingsnake I am looking to sell. I live around Tampa florida and was told its illegal to sell snakes online in florida. Not sure if thats true and would like some advice on the best way to sell the snake or to find anyone who would be interested. Its about 12-14 in., in good condition, and very colorful and I want to make sure it goes to someone thats knowledgeable about caring for snakes. I have pics. Thanks for any help.

The selling of reptiles in Florida usually requires a permit from Wildlife Fish and Game, but if you only have the one animal you may not need it. I would call them first and ask them, since the permit fee is 50 bucks. Here's the number > (850) 488-4676

Thanks, I did call them. You need a class 3 license to sell snakes in florida, even just one.
