Not sure what to get next?

I currently own a ball python, kenyan sand boa and a uromastyx. Looking to invest in a new snake. I've looked into quite a few species and have narrowed down to a few. Red-tailed boa, dumerils boa, green tree python or white lipped python. I know what to expect regarding size and care of the animal, I was just looking for some recommendations. All replies appreciated.

Sounds like you have some very nice animals. I always recommend a Colombian/BCI boa. With proper handling they grow into very calm, trustworthy snakes that are a joy to work with. The Hog Island locale have amazing colors and stay smaller in size. The Dumerils make good pets also. I don't go for the morphs but like the snakes as they occur in nature. My preference in boas is the true redtail/BCC locales such as Peruvian or Suriname. They get bigger than the BCI, may be more tempermental and demanding in care, but they make up for that in color/pattern, and awesome red in the tails. All of the BCC boas that I worked with became very tame with proper handling. The carpet pythons are worth considering also. Best of luck with your search and enjoy your animals. Bill

Carpet Python hands down. Easier to care for than a GTP, calmer than a white lipped, great snakes all around. I have met very few snakes that rival my jungle/diamond in appetite and once he knows he's not eating he is as gentle as can be... Lots of great carpets being produced right now, definitely worth a look.
