Not to bring up an old subjet...but my seven foot cribo must have been>>>

reading these forums while I wasn't home. I put a large rat in his cage last week and forgot to close it. Unfortuntly he made the rounds in the snake house and found where a couple of the kingsnakes lived and paid them a visit. Confirmation today made it clear that the rat was not the only thing that joined the cribo for dinner! Also included in his meal was a 4' eastern king and a 2' cal king! I guess the good thing is it could have been alot worse. From the blood in the king snakes cage, apparently the jaws of the cribo out did the coils of the kings. I guess the cribo was concerned what might have happened when the kings got to be six feet!

Big size difference but how did he get into thier cages? He pushed through the screening or did thier cages just happen to be open also? Drymochs. & lampropeltis when hungry will hunt what they smell. the lamps. never stood a chance being cornered. Even at 6 ft. the cribo will win if it gets the jump on the kings.

Kings were in a rack system caging. Could have bee alot worse, as these were the only kings in the rack system. The rest of the snakes were some very valuable pituophis group. The cribo apparently crawled behind the cages and pushed them out and devoured what was in them. Just glad it wasn't one of my pines!
