Got my first beardie today!!!!

spartan117 Sep 28, 2003 02:27 PM

Today I went to a bird/reptile/small animal expo. It was really disappointing though, becuase there were only two booths with reptiles. The guy I got my beardie from only had the beardies, but the other booth had some other herps(a huge bw tegu caught my eye). Anyways the Beardie is great. All of the beardies seemed a little sluggish but he didn't have any lights on them. He or she was the most active I saw. Nice and plump too. He really started moving around when I put him in his temporary 10gal with his spotlight on. He even ate a piece of collared green out of my hand. I can't believe how tame he is. He is very active, but doesn't run away from me. I'm definately going to get more this winter at the Ohio reptile show!

Yes, I read a lot about any animal I get before I buy it. I always make sure I am prepared. Thanks and yes the cage is very temporary.
