can i tell the adult markings as a baby

im getting a gtp in oct and i would like one that has the blue and purple markings wen its full grown. other then looking at the parents or getting one that aready has them is there ne way to tell if there going to hav those markings

The only way you are going to be able to tell approximately what your baby looks like as an adult is to know what the parents look like. The coloration you are describing is generally the Sorong or Jayapura type. If the parents are both blue striped the baby will most likely be blue striped.

Is your new addition CBB? Ask the person you are purchasing it from if they have pix of the parents. If no pictures are available and it's a "farmed" baby the best you can do is keep your fingers crossed. I've seen a lot of biak type imports this year and the biaks might not finish changing color until they are 3-4 years old!!
