Deli Cups

Seeves1982 Mar 22, 2011 05:43 PM

After having recent mold issues with a ceramic bowl. I don't want to take anymore chances. I'm thinking about switching to deli cups and pvc couplers. I've got a few questions about this topic.

The one thing I really liked about the ceramic bowl is that it sits right on the tub and helps increase the humidity to a desireable level. Will I get the same results with deli cups and pvc stands? How do I know what size deli cup to get to fit in what size coupler? And lastly where can I purchase these delie cups at a good price?

Thanks,
Mike

Use the ceramic bowl and a deli cup as a liner. It might even cut down on the mold. Don't worry about the mold, it won't hurt anything. You can buy deli cups from superior shipping. And any other shipping supplies.

4 inch couplers and 16 oz deli cups, which I get at www.foodservicedirect.com.

Instead of buying your deli cups from a Restaurant supply store why not support one of our own that is also a sponsor of this Forum. The Snake Keeper has what you are looking for and Dan and Colette are really good people that support our hobby and are actually a part of it. Here is the Link to their site. You want the cheapest unpunched 4.5 deli cup for a Water bowl.

Any idea. Will this cause a loss in Humidity for me?

I don't know if this link will work, but it is jkobylka reptiles. If the link doesn't work, then just go to youtube and type in JKR Pro Tip #2 - Water Bowls, and his vid will pop up.

mold spores are everywhere
you are breathing it right now
it takes a good environment to make it grow...
you will get mold under the plastic cups even , maybe
mold is bad, to breathe and to grow in your home
it grows everywhere
control it and clean under bowls every week...
you'll be fine....................

Yeah I do. I'd like to see it not happen at all if I can help it though.
