we are not sure bad we think it was that we were feeding him mealworm. I'm pretty new with the dragons so i did not know that babys should not eat them. but we do not really know.

It's always sad to lose a little friend, especially when we don't know why.

Deepest sympathies,
Bennett

when we were new. You learn and keep on learning all the time. Just try to find as much information as you can and in some you have to use your own judgment.

Many people have feed mealies to small dragons and not had problems, but many have also, so to be safe we avoid them. Axe and I were just talking today about the fact in the wild no one monitors size and insect intake of them and wonder if they have impaction problems or hind leg problems like we see in them in captivity.... as we know their instinct is to eat things that they shouldn't.

They love iceberg lettuce, but it has little nutrition to them and can cause the runs.... also, put a handful of crickets in for them to eat, and watch, they will go after the biggest ones across the cage! I had one do that yesterday and within an hour he was not moving his back legs. Warm soaks, olive oil and acidolphiz , plus spending the night on a heat pad has him moving them now better and grasping, I think he is going to be okay..... see I know better, but it still happens at times. I did not realize there was a larger cricket in the tub and boy he spotted and and punched before I could get it

I am sorry your lost Voodoo, but you have learned some good husbandry ideas because you did have him and seek out help, you should be commended for that.

wow, you have a big heart!! that is a kind and wonderful gesture. I hope Brandon takes you up on it. He shouldn't be scared to get back on the saddle. After all, we all make mistakes. That is why we are called humans.

Again, I bow to you....
