I have had my ball python for 3 years and all we have feed him is live rats. I got a rat on Monday afternoon and it wasn't in the cage long before he attempted to catch it but he missed. He has been missing for the last 3 days and when he doesn't miss he does not have his mouth open. I don't think I can get him or the rat out of the cage without the snake striking me. What do I do?
