No Head Shed

KingDome Mar 25, 2011 07:42 AM

I was two hours away from home last night and I get a call from my wife. She is distress mode and did not know what to do. She loves her animals. She sent me these pictures. She found the shed, but it was only from the neck down. I told her to fill a small container with moist moss and put it in it. It backed right out of it's head shed. Have y'all ever seen this happen and what would cause the head not to shed? She has a moist hiddy, but she don't like to go in there as good a my male.

I give all my snakes a granite rock in their cage next to their water bowl, so when they begin the shed they can scratch the head part off and get it started. They always seem to want to rub their heads on a rough object to begin the process.

Thanks that is probable it. I have several things in there but most of it is smooth. I had a couple of drift wood in, but I had taken it out and not put it back in for some reason. I'll get good ruff rock to put in. thanks
