Question about building folicles

magicalmorphs Mar 29, 2011 07:31 PM

Do females always ovulate when they're building folicles? I have a few females I didn't think would go this year that are building folicles and starting to swell. They're not to the point of ovulation, but I wasn't sure if they sometimes build folicles then reabsorb them instead of ovulating. Thanks Chris

Sometimes they can reabsorb.
It's after ovulation where there is no turning back, though they can slug out (throw nothing but slugs).

Most of the time, when they get really swollen in the building process, they will go on to ovulate-however, there is still the chance for them to reabsorb the follicles before ovulation. Once they ovulate, something is coming out the back end, one way or another. If you want to be sure, keep breeding until they ovulate.
