Several questions need to be answered first.
1) What species is/are the misting system for (determines droplet size and pump pressure)?
2) How many terrariums need to be misted?
3) Do you need the system to run off of a timer?
4) If yes to #3, what kind of intervals do you want (this is also effected by droplet size).
5) If yes to #3, what is the longest period of time you'll be away.
ok well here are what you asked for.
1.the specie i want it for is for my boa constrictor constrictor my guyana.maybe my ball pythons i dont know yet.
2. that would be 2 cages .
3.it would be nice to run it off a timer because i have to go to school.so thats 8 hours im away.it could be manual because there is usualy somone home who could flip a switch.
4.the intervals i would probly have to test because i have a screen top cage and ill have to try a couple days to see how oftenthey need to go on to get the right humidity.
5.well im 13 so i have school somtimes im at friends houses on the weekends.
Since you're not trying to induce defecation or necessarily leave water droplets around the cage you could go with whatever mist head you wanted.
In this case the finer the mist the better as it means more relative humidity with less water.
But that also means a more powerful pump to force water through such a small mist head so you're looking at a lot of cost. Not something I'd want to do for two cages (although I'd not put it one your BP's cage).
My recommendation is to purchase an ultrasonic home humidifier from Walgreens and run some PVC pipe off of it directed into the boa's cage. There are pictures of this in the gallery. I'll see if I can find them.
It's absolutely essential you run reverse osmosis (RO) or distilled water through this system. With even decent tap water you'll shorten the lifespan of the machine dramatically.
If I were keeping Boa constrictors this is the system I'd use.
