Well, may not be to young snake could be 5 years old for all you know! I believe you mean to small, but even then obviousely she wasn't or she wouldn"t have laid the eggs!

You think a male in the wild is going to say "Oh your not 1500 grams sorry can't breed ya" Of course not! If he gets his tail wrapped around a 1000 gram female and she lays, she was ready!
