I sure feel good about this one. Just picked up 4 females. An 1100 gram Spider, a 400 gram Lesser, and 2 Normals 2500 and 2900 grams that have been bred several times with a Fire and a Spinner. I will be following the 2 Normals up with my male Calico just to make sure but the smaller girl(2500)was locked with the male Fire when I first went to see them.. There is no doubt in my mind that they may already be gravid by his two males but im going to watch the Calico in there with them just to see if I get any activity with him for a few days.. Drum roll please........ All 4 of these great pickups from the same guy cost me $800... I dont think you can even beat that with a big stick...Lol. Good luck to everyone with their breeding endevors this season. Jay

Jay,

1st) Congrats on the pick ups!

2nd) Be very careful! It would be a real shame if your collection contracted something from this pick up due to bypassing quarantine.

If you have quarantined them for at least a few months and found them to be otherwise healthy then my apologies for the "2nd".

I wish you the best this season!

Gosh, I guess that is a great idea Alan. I have been very fortunate thus far with my collection I guess because I am used to bringing them home or getting them via FedEx , checking them for mites and that type of thing that you tend to be able to see and then keeping them seperated from my collection for just 2 weeks and if they look clean the second time I move them into my collection room.. Maybe not the smartest thing to do because of the Inclusion Body Disease thing which I can be transferred among snakes and collections. Thank you for bringing me back to reality..lol. Have a great season Alan, Jay

A 6 month quarantine is what I follow. IBD can lie dormant for that period of time, and sometimes longer.
