Dominican Red Mountain Boas

Are these really worth the cost? I am reading conflicting info on them. Some places are saying they are rare but others are saying they are jothing more than Haitians.
I am getting back into the hobby and am trying to find a good interesting species.
Thoughts?

I will say that they are VERY VERY beautiful and unique!!! I cannot wait to one day have a pair in my collection, but having said that, I have heard much debate as to their uniqueness and whether or not they are simply colorful Haitian Boas. At any rate, I am just hopeful that they are one day priced at a level that puts them available to the average collector/hobbyist!!!

I hope to hear some responses from people in the know!!!!

I picked out a beautful pair from Tom this year and couldnt be happier with them. Just do what makes you happy

Oh no doubt they are gorgeous, and Tom's are top notch I am sure. I just wonder if they are really worth the cost or is this just hype on Haitians that are prettier?

Snakes from that particular locale that are the ugliest of ugly can throw the really good ones....not much different than paying extra for good red amazon tree boas; I don't hear people throwing off on those much. Selective breeding may produce incredible (and hopefully more predictable) results in a few generations, plus I'm thinking the "anery" may spice up the project in the fure.
