OMG! I'd rip those two apart immediately and freshen up that substrate!
its been done already they stayed locked for 2 days and were together for 3 days before that and she unloaded before they locked up
Tom, I was being sarcastic!
i just wanted to make sure that it is said that , the cage was cleaned right after breeding ,, thank you
Does it look like the substrate needs to be cleaned? Yes. However, if you have no mold, fungus, or smell issues then I do not see the problem. The Barkers themselves explain in their book that the pythons seem to prefer an environment that smells like them. Critics here should name a couple of animals that like living in sterile environments. Or better yet, visit the holding areas of a zoo.
If anything else, the snakes look clean and must be somewhat happy if they are breeding. I for one am not concerned with the cleanliness of your tubs. Keep up the breeding. I look forward to hatchling pictures!
