Any thoughts on what this might look like.

If they turn out anything like that Albino Black Pastel, you will have a clutch of winners! That is the most gorgeous Albino I have ever seen. Kudos.

She is on one side of my business card, a pied is on the other. They sure do improve the albinos, they are high contrast.
Thanks Mike

Now that's gonna be a sweet combo, goodluck! My buddy just got eggs from a Albino Black Pastel to a Pin Stripe Het Albino. It would be interesting to see the albino spinner black pastel.

mikebell Apr 03, 2011 12:29 PM

I'm not sure if either cross is a good idea or not. The albino spider and especially the albino spinner are very reduced white, leaning toward patternless in the case of the albino spinner. The albino black pastel is just the opposite, lots of white. Time will tell. Mike

Perhaps the added orange of the Black Pastel would add some contrast (white vs orange, as opposed to white vs yellow) to the Albino Spider.

Or the same for the Albino Black Pastel Pinstripe.

I'm eager to see either result.

Congrats on that pairing. Definitely a fun clutch of eggs to watch hatch.

if the albino black spider is a 99% yellow snake then yes I would say spinner cross is def out of the picture. Hopefully you can get the white sides of the spider in your cross and even if its solid yellow if it has those white sides it will be awesome. But for the albino blk pins they should follow the blk pins and have lots of pattern.

I hope I am not alone here to say this.

Your pictures are nice, you have amazing snakes etc....

But can't you just make one post instead of multiple and put everything in there like everyone else ?

Looks like you just want to show yourself, really not something most people like.

I don't mind two, such as in Mike's case. But the 16 raspoptsis is a tidge much. Multiple topics in a single post would be ideal. Say, all the clown breedings or all albino breedings, or all breedings with a high potential to produce 4 gene morphs, etc. Keeping it down to 4 threads in a row would be nice.

Sure it is showing off, I thought that was the basic idea of the forum.

I have posted things as they happen, or in response to someone else's post. When Robyn hatches the next new desert morph, are you going to tell him that he should have saved it all up for one big post at the end of the season. (not picking on you Robyn)

If it wasn't for the showoffs, what would you have left, a few questions over and over.
Why won't by BP eat?
How do I cure RI?
How do I build an incubator?

Report me to KS, Mike Bell is showing off.

pitoon Apr 04, 2011 03:00 AM

Mike,
you're good....i think they are just a bit bother by all the posts that Tom put up.

if you ask me....who cares....you're free to post up what you want in on the forum as long as you are within the TOS.

keep up the cool pics....i like them.

I think it's is showing off for sure, and if I had that kind of stuff to show off I'd be doing the same thing.
Awesome projects. Way cooler than most of us even dream of.

skinny420 Apr 05, 2011 01:54 AM

hell i pray there is a day i can show off a few of my collection and have quality like that. post more pics. lots of them. take pics till you cant take pics anymore. or better yet. send me the males so i can photograph them for you. lol by the way......is it a sin to covet another mans snake collection?

mikebell Apr 05, 2011 08:14 AM

I'll be sure to post more.
Thanks Mike

I have nothing about you and no problem with someone posting things once they happen.

But posting one after the other, I think it's enough.

He does the same in other forums I go too. I just can't understand and to me it's only SPAM stuff.

Business is business but that doesn't help me want to do business with him.

And mostly, I don't understand why the Mods accept this.
I can understand 2-3 post similar from new comers etc... but totally not the case here.

Love this world, don't hate it??? I think you need to practice what you preach pal. If you knew Mike personally, you would know he is not a show off. He is always on here helping people by answering their questions, problems, issues, ect... Mike Bell is a very well respected asset to the reptile community whom has been breeding snakes for decades-not years. If someone of his caliber wants to post something, "He Should" and most will benefit to some degree from his post. I wish all the true experts in this hobby would post more, that is how we learn! I only wish Mike would start posting some pics of his really nice stuff!

I think you didn't understand me well.

I have nothing to say against Mike Bell.
Nothing even on Rhaposody (how ever it's spell, sorry).

I just think that it could all be done in one single post or at least some more specific. It's not the first time I said it and told him about. But didn't change, that's why I made the post.

Then why did you respond to mike with your comments? It's really not that hard to keep track of who you are responding to or simply not clicking on posts you don't want to see.

I never give them hell, I give them the truth and they think it's hell!

Did you think my post was from Tom?
That is what a couple of people said they think happened, since my post title resembled Tom's posts.
When I spoke with Tom, he said he spread the posts out for a couple of reasons, so that when someone responded he would know exactly which breeding they were asking about, also that it was easier to post that way.
I don't really know Tom, but he seems like a nice guy. I think people believe he fell in to this, you know, used grandpa's inheritance or trust fund. I don't think that is the case. He is a businessman, that has had his share of ups and downs. He isn't afraid to stick his neck out on a new venture and spend his hard earned money. I admire his optimism. I'm more of a pessimistic worrywart myself.
Why would the mods from KS or anyone else be upset that someone posts too much on a forum that is here for just that purpose.
Mike
