Help with ID

My brother recently found a small gray snake with blackish blotches in his garage in northern VA. He looks to be about 15" long but I have not gotten a good look at him stretched out. He is a bit thicker that a pencil and appears fairly active. A pic of him in a coffee tin can be found as the main pic on my yahoo profile:

I tried to link directly to the pic but for some reason thats not working so plaese check out his pic on my profile and let me know.

Help identifying the little guy would be appreciated. The head doesnt look overly triangular so I dont think he is poisonous, but since juveniles are tough to spot I thought I'd ask for help. His eyes are pretty small too so I cant tell if the pupils were round or elliptical.

Greg's right. He 'da man!

By the way, snakes are only "poisonous" if you put something like arsenic on them and eat them. Some of them are, however, venomous.
