Great pictures Jorge. Your attention to detail...the graphic, true to life details, and real photographic talent really shows through, especially in the second photo. Anytime a photographer can capture "that special moment" like you did, and make the viewer feel as though he's right there in the middle of all the action, it deserves to be appreciated. Excellent work. Keep it up.

Thank you again.

Wow Micah, that's the best review I ever got for my pictures! I think many here take way better pics than I do. I just make use of the crop feature a lot, lol. Thanks for the compliments and I'm glad you like them.

Poor planning and procrastination on your part does not constitute an emergency on my part...

No we're NOT perves. Inquiring minds want to know.

Any observations on these pics, particularly the close up?

Is that bulbous swell normal? I never seen rattle snakes mating so i don't know if that's common? It almost looks like a retained egg.

Yeah I've never seen it before either. Not to be too graphic here, but there was a pretty big wet spot on the paper too, after they were done. He's my best breeder male....very fertile I guess.

LOL!!!

Wow, I guess he's got a huge rattle?

If you use paper it is a good way to check and see if the snakes had a successful breeding by locating the sperm plug.

You won't find them very easy if you use apsen or shavings.

NO! Wanting to know if the job is done is not being a perv. Taking pictures on the other hand, maybe

That looks painful! Do they actually wound each other? None of mine have bitten each other (but then I only have the one trio of mating pyros, and they are pretty sedate)

It doesn't seem to bother the females at all, and it doesn't leave any mark.

Yeah Jimmy, it did freak me out a bit the first time I saw it. What's weird is most of mine grab the female around mid section.
