Princess Diamond (leacistic) hets

boabear Apr 08, 2011 01:02 PM

I just stumbled across pictures of the het Princess Diamond or leaucistic boa hets from jeremy stone. Even the hets look crazy, white eyes, almost fully striped, patternless sides. I was wondering if anyone is scratching their head thinking they may have seen some hets floating around or if the hets may be just as rare. Not sure if i can post a link to the video site with the pics or not so I wont do that.

And how do you all feel about the leaucistic boa? excited or not so much?

het pics were released on one of J stones youtube videos. I am not sure on the rules of posting other peoples vids so just search on one of his more recent youtube vids and he shows a quick picture of the hets, i am assuming he produced. the hets are cool enough on their own to say the least.

I am just wondering how people feel about the leaucistic boa on its own since there is not much room for combos. Once you have a white snake there is not much more to go from there. I think they are very cool and all but its not like you can put them into motleys and get some pattern out since they are already all white.

I'll post the Link... It's on Youtube, and the Het is Awesome. The Het picture appears 22 seconds into the video. You can pause it because he just flashes the pic for about 5 seconds, titled, "PD Hets".

This link has the link for the "hets" everyone is talking about... The video is now private, so who knows??

http://www.redtailboas.com/f17/hypo-het-white-diamond-50618/

Jeremy posted a picture of a Hypo Het. "something" a few weeks ago on FB and all he stated was "Cool Picture of a Nice Baby we had in 2010. Can't say what it is yet, but hope you like the Boa. This is salmon "cool" BCI. I think it is very interesting.. J Stone" and "Its a Hypo, and I could see how someone would think costa Rican, or Salmontine, but it is just a Hypo BCI that I hope is het for something very cool. No Salmontine, or CA except maybe a distant relative for the hypo gene. Time will tell, but the eyes are awesome on this animal. Head is like a Calico. J"

Here's the link to the FB photo:

The animal is absolutely amazing!

I aslo found this link of what's supposed to be one of the Motley Het. Princess diamonds...

Who know's really??? Either way it's super exciting!

If the Diamond gene is in th same place as the motley and hypo gene I can't imagine what the babies would look like! Even the hets!!

He has said that he only intends to breed to make one new double het morph per year to try to help protect long term value of the project, yet I've heard all kinds of speculations about what's being bred to what. Why don't you just go watch the videos/read what's on his website; or just ask him? I think this has more potential to bring back the boa market than any other morph or combo I've saw thus far...leucy hets will give a new look to EVERYTHING most likely. Yet I'm still hearing "no combo potential." We'll see

boabear Apr 09, 2011 01:45 PM

sorry bout the delayed response, thanks to whoever picked up the slack and posted that vid. That was the one I was referring to.

I think when people say the morph has no cross potential they are talking about the visual lucy boa. The hets have plenty of potential for crossing. I would assume that having a visual morph crossed with a visual lucy, the lucy would override everything and it would just look white. Hopefully the hets will have some very cool crosses.

STconstrictors Apr 10, 2011 01:06 AM

What I can tell you is that any bci mutation crossed into the Princess diamond will act like any other leucistic mutation in the snake world.just think of the morphs made with het leucistic genes.

Can you imagine a crystal ball but boa or maybe the super stripe ball boa but a constrictor. CombinsationS are endless. This gene is the holy grail in the boa world and just gave the boa community access to something new that many of us dreamed of having..

I agree Spencer, for me the animals of most interest would be the Het PD's the combination's with those will be INSANE!!!!
