I have seen how much tolerance beardies have.

Today when I got my beardie some kid like 5 was tormenting an adult male. He was laughing as he was poking at it, pulling it's tail, grabbing it's head, tapping on it's head, pulling on it's feet, rubbing it really hard and opposite the way the scales run, and the list goes on and on!!! What did the dragon do? Nothing! The whole time I was thinking "Bite him, bite him, RETALIATE!", but that would put a bad reputation on reptiles. I was furious that he was doing it. Waht made me more angry is that his parents didn't do anything!!! I don't know if his parents knew or what. ARRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR!!! I wanted to poke the kid right in the eye to show him how it feels! I tried to say something but I was too far away. I just bit my lip and prayed that he didn't hurt the poor lizard. I want him to try that to a Nile monitor, or maybe an alligator snapper! LOL

don't you just love when the parents stand right there, and watch the kids torture an animal? I work in a pet store, and one day my sister brought her dog in to visit. She is normally a very calm, friendly dog. But this kid kept poking at her, pulling her tail, pretending to jump at her, or hit her, etc... and the poor dog got frantic, it kept trying to run away, but the kid backed her into a corner, and I kept telling the kid to leave her alone, but he wouldn't listen. I had to physically remove the kid before he got bitten. He was maybe 4 or 5. And when his mom saw what he was doing, she sighed and said 'hes such a bad kid' and then turned around and continued shopping!! If the dog had bitten the kid, the dog would have been put down, but nothing happens to this kid, who wouldn't stop provoking her!! don't have kids if your not going to bother to teach them any decency!! (my angry rant for today!!)

amazing how quicky they grab the child and move away

I work with dysfuntional kids, and 99% of the time its a direct result of the parents inabilities to be parents. Too bad they do not have to have a license before breeding ;p
