Native Earth Shredded Aspen 4.38 Cu F

Native Earth Shredded Aspen 4.38 Cubic Foot Compressed Bedding (formerly Harlan)

I really like this aspen and so do my snakes. It is soft yet easy to make tunnels in. I just thought I'd give everyone a heads up that it is now Native Earth, not Harlan, anymore.

Have found a great cheap online source, but don't know if it is against the rules to post the link here, so anybody wants this please email me.

I first posted this message in the kingsnake forum but thought my friends in the pituophis forum might also be interested, hence this post.

It's like $15.00/bag --- two bags with shipping totals $60 . Yikes!

...but then: 4 ft³ = 102.856 qt(US dry)

So, I've been paying ~$18 per 26 qt. bag from the chain store. ...and this is "compressed" which means even more I would think.

The shipping is painful but looks like a huge savings afterall.

Approx. 80qts/$60 : 205qts/$60.

Ok, I can dig it. Thanks Bob!

I think if you open an account with them the shipping goes up TBD instead of the flat rate $4.95. So don't make an account, it is not necessary.

Glad this worked out for you!
I finally was able to clean my big 40 gallon breeder tank containing my striped Pacifics and something very stinky in the old flake aspen which I could not find by sifting through it by hand. So toss the old litter, sanitize the tank, and put all fresh shredded. I was down to my last bag of the shredded but now that I know a good source can redo all my tanks.

I feel like I stole something haha! Wow that has got to cost more to simply ship than what my total cost was for product and shipping. Maybe they are trying to get all the bags out of their warehouse to get some space or something.

And yeah now that I finally have my first indigo, I know I will be going through aspen a whole lot more

WANT WANT WANT WANT!
A friend of mine breeds eastern indigos and has a line of 3 foot eastern indigos that have occurred from his normal size indigos. I am hoping to get a pair of those if he can produce any more as that would satisfy my eastern indigo jones without having to have a huge cage. These 3 footers are not runts, they are nice and stout, more like a dwarf indigo.

Nope, didn't get it from there ...drat (slaps forehead). Pet Food Direct. Dang! Just googled for a seller and neglected to shop around. ...still a much better deal than chain store though.
