difficult to feed than Scarlet King (Lampropeltis triangulum elapsoides).
Scarlet snakes primarily eat only reptile eggs in the wild so keeping one takes a lot of patience and effort - most, to include myself don't mess with them. They're too picky to feed properly (even though a few, very dedicated individuals have had some success feeding them a regular (chicken) egg mixture.

actually, my friend just got this snake to eat 2 small pinkies.
Note; the skull is too short... the lack of prominent rostral...The lack of a Broad Orange Band just after the first black band on head...the encroachment of bands entering but not crossing(slightly abberant but actually more commonly seen in western ssps.) the veneer. This is Not a scarlet. Looks like an intergade.

I only looked at the first two pics when I made my initial assesment/guess. I do, own a beautiful large female elapsoides myself, but not from THAT area (N.FL). So after seeing the rest of the pics . . . well . . . Intergrade?! Possible.
