Hypo het bwc pairing question.

sun_king Apr 13, 2011 10:23 PM

If you had a hypo het bwc female would you pair her with a paraglow male, jungle bwc male or motley het sharp male? Please explain the reasons behind your choice. I personally like all possible outcomes but am wondering what others think.

I'd look for a really aberrant sharp albino/sunglow jungle. I haven't seen any paradigm/glow jungles yet. I think the bwc look great, but the pink panthers look better. Motley paradigms have already been produced and I'm sure many other people are probably replicating that project. The paraglow might not be bad idea, but I love jungles and haven't seen any paradigm/glow jungles yet. Just my 2 cents.

One needs only to scroll down to see a paradigm jungle. It is very nice. Since the BWC gene is on a different locus than T- I would think there's a good chance that T-'s in morph combos would be an excellent, unexplored largely, arena. Arabesque and square-tail are under-used morphs in my opinion. But, I'm imagining Roswell paraglows as being rather exceptional...lots to pick from, and really nothing would be a terribly bad choice.

Bigg Mike has produced I believe 2 AWESOME jungle paraglows.

I would go with the jungle bwc myself. The jungle will clean up the bw caramel. I think the normal bw caramel can be a beautiful snake if we continue to add selective breeding to the mix.Im not saying that they arent out there now,(Im expecting a litter any day)but I believe we can realy clean up the BWC and make it a really nice looking morph on a consistent and repeatable basis. All combos wil be good

to each their own, and if we all did a top 10 list i think we would find the same animals in different orders but at the end of the day we will find a common 5-7 animals on everyones top 10. on 1 person's it may be #2 on another #8, etc. I think that what BWC need more than anything in the world is clean combos. Jungles and Pastels or Pastel Jungles even better.

I am working on "cleaning" them up as we speak. I have the paraglow in right now with a VERY nice colorful/pastelish het bwc female. I think he may have gotten the job done but I am not counting my chickens before they hatch... The bwc jungle I got from Bigg Mike should clean up and color up any female he comes into contact with. He is in with a big sharp girl now but not sure what is going on. I put a plain Jane arab in there with them to try and get the jungle male going. HAHAHA, if either male gets the job done I will be very happy.

I would go with the BWC Jungle myself for a few reasons. First, i dont care to make possible hets if i can make hets with anything. Second, you "Should" get 25% BWC Jungles and some "should" even be Hypo BWC Jungles, both of which there are very few and it would be very lucrative for you. Third, i love color and depending on the quality of jungle it should add loads of color to your project. Forth and final, paradigms although some are very nice looking they are genetically Double Hets and there are alot of them around. Thank you for posting a great question and if i was able to help that is wonderful as well. Keep us posted on what you decide but ultimately it comes down to what you like the most
