Ball Python Breathing

pisces842001 Sep 28, 2003 10:01 PM

I have a young female ball python. I have noticed at times she breathes kinda slow and other times she is breathing pretty fast. I was wondering if her fast breathing was a sign of health defects at all or if it was just a normal happening. Any help would be much appreciated.

how fast DOES she breath? is it like a panting or full blown i need oxygen kinda breathing? btw, my BP breath's different during different times. when shes about to eat, she gets highon breathing, when im holding her, its as if shes not breathing at all.

She breathes faster usually after she has eaten. I am not sure whether faster paced breathing is due to her eating or extra high humidity or what. Just like yours, when I am holding her it is like she is not breathing at all.
