Milks in Kansas

mssdds Apr 14, 2011 10:46 AM

I am planning a trip to Kansas to do some herping for milks. Without giving out specific locale info, does anyone have any general guidance (county info, hill ranges, or areas where milks can be most easily found)? Thank you in advance for any replies.

Milks can literally be found state-wide in Kansas. Timing, far more than locality, will be your major factor. Time your trip right and you'll have no trouble seeing plenty of milks. Go too early or too late and you'll have a much harder time.

Hope that helps,

Thanks for the tip! How would the last week of May/first week of June be for finding milks? That's when I've had success with graybands and other species in Texas in times past (before the law changed in 2007).
